Turn north off Highway 52 onto Sneed Boulevard in Lafayette, and this lot is the first thing on your left.

It is not big. Fifty feet wide and 150 feet deep, a little under a fifth of an acre. It is level, zoned R2, and fronts a paved city street. Public water and public sewer are both available. In town, that is most of what a building lot needs to be.

The lot first came on the market in the spring of 2019. By the summer of 2021 the asking price was $24,900. It went under contract in early August and closed on August 20 at $22,000.

Lafayette is the Macon County seat. Lots inside town with sewer already at the street are worth knowing about, even the small ones. This one took 809 days to sell. Then somebody bought it.
